LCHF: low carb and high fat

what is LCHF?

LCHF is an acronym for Low Carb High Fat (sometimes referred to as a “ketogenic diet“). Quite simply put it is a diet where you eat as much as you want of healthy, natural products. You cut out carbohydrates ( as carbohyderates are the main reason to increase your blood sugar levels) and increase your fat intake. There is no weighing food or counting points or calories. You eat until you are satisfied. This diet helps improve your health, weight problems-generally helps lose weight as the main reasons of type-2 diabeties is obesety
sounds intresting right!!, let me try to make it more easier to understand
what happens when we consume carbohyderates aka carbs, the carbohyderates breakdown into sugar which by the way is the main source of our body to function properly, basically its fuel to us but since the combustion of this fuel is uncontrolled in our body we are adviced to take it in less quantity, instead we are adviced to take high fibers and good fat
but fats too consist of colestrol and other harmful content
yes, it is true that fat is also harmful to us if it is taken in large quantity but the case is We actually need fats -- can't live without them, in fact. Fats are an important part of a healthy diet: They provide essential fatty acids, keep our skin soft, deliver fat-soluble vitamins, and are a great source of energizing fuel. But it's easy to get confused about good fats vs. bad fats, how much fat we should eat, how to avoid artery-clogging trans fats, and the role omega-3 fatty acids play in heart health.
All foods and oils contain a mixture of fatty acids, but the predominant type of fat they contain is what makes them “good” or “bad.”
What are bad fats?
there are predominantly two types of fats are identified are harmful for our heart, most of these fats which fall into this category are solid in nature when sotred in room temperature which includes butter, ghee, lard, milk fat, cream, lard, hydrogenation, partially hydrogenated oils, there are many more that can be added to this list but for now i guess you might have understood this what bad fat is.
What Are Good Fats?
"Monounsaturated fat and polyunsaturated fat are considered more “heart-healthy” fats, which you should include in your diet in moderation. Foods that primarily contain these healthier fats tend to be liquid when they’re at room temperature, such as vegetable oil."
basically, monosaturated and polysaturated fats, chemically contain one unsaturated bond, which is generally referred to as double bond, these are good guys they dont break down into cholestrol and there is no risk of heart attack, these dont add up to your weight and make you obese
ps: pure vedic indian cow's ghee contains omega-3 fatty acid which is a monosaturated fat and hence it can be consumed
list of things that can be consumed and available in India
